CEO of Centennial Communications discusses leadership with Princeton students

On October 13, Michael Small, CEO of Centennial Communications spoke to Princeton students about “Thoughts on Leadership in High Performance Organizations.” Mr. Small completed his undergraduate degree at Colgate University and received his M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Chicago in 1981. He's served as the Chief Executive Officer of Centennial Communications Corp. since January 1999 and served as the President of Lynch Corporation prior to joining Centennial.

Mr. Small discussed his views on leadership in the corporate realm with students in an informal environment. He described a leader as “someone who causes people to do other than they were already planning to do.” According to him, a leader is guided by the answers to the following questions: Where do you want to go? How are you going to get there? And who’s coming along? The answers to these three basic questions have helped Mr. Small form a vision for Centennial and transform the company into the ninth largest wireless communications network in the United States.
